I'm only a little evil...

You Are 36% Evil

A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well.
In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil.
I'm the "most dangerous kind of evil"? I don't know about that. I'm not a perfect angel, but "evil"? Not so much...

Off to Rome I go

You Belong in Rome

You're a big city girl with a small town heart
Which is why you're attracted to the romance of Rome
Strolling down picture perfect streets, cappuccino in hand
And gorgeous Italian men - could life get any better?
What City Do You Belong In?

And here I always thought I was more of a DeKalb girl. But Rome sounds nice too! Now that I know that's where I'm supposed to live, I'm going to have visit soon. Any volunteers to finance my trip? LOL

Thinking of you

"Somewhere there's someone who dreams of your smile,
and finds in your presence that life is worth while.
So when you are lonely, remember it's true
Somebody somewhere is thinking of you."

- K. Blackburn -

I think this is a great quote. We all feel lonely at times and worse, we feel alone. It's important to know that everyone is loved by someone. We are all special, worthwhile and unique. Every one of us has something wonderful to contribute to this world even if we don't realize what "it" is.

It's amazing how one person can touch the lives of so many. I know it's cliche, but think of the movie "It's A Wonderful Life". Without George Bailey, the whole town is a miserable dark place. Now I'm not suggesting we all have George Bailey impact on the lives of those around us, but we do have something.

Every day is a new opportunity to make a difference in someone else's life. Every day is a new chance for a better life for ourselves. The beauty is in the details too, you don't have to do anything grand to make a difference. Send a friend a quick note, smile at a stranger, help someone out that you see struggling. You never know how much your small gesture could mean to someone who is having a rotten day.

Tarot card

You Are The Lovers

You represent ideal love: innocence, trust, exhilaration and joy.
You demonstrate the harmony of opposites, two sides coming together.
At times, you also represent the struggle between what is right and what is tempting.
Control is an issue for you, especially when you don't know your reasons for choosing something.

Your fortune:

You have an important choice you need to make about love, and it will be a difficult choice to make.
You are likely struggling between the love you crave and the love that is right.
In the end, you will choose what you crave, even if it's bad for you.
Because without what you crave, you will feel empty and incomplete.

Describing me...

I saw this in tassypink's journal and wanted to try one for myself.

Click this link and pick 5 or 6 words that you feel describe me. The results of this will hopefully give me a good picture of not only how other people view me, but how accurate my own picture of myself is.

Candy Hearts

Your Candy Heart Says "Hug Me"

A total sweetheart, you always have a lot of love to give out. (Well that's true)
Your heart is open to where ever love takes you!

Your ideal Valentine's Day date: a surprise romantic evening that you've planned out (anyone who really knows me knows that I would freak out about a surprise. I would have a serious nasty anxiety attack)

Your flirting style: lots of listening and talking

What turns you off: fighting and conflict (amusing considering that's what I did today)

Why you're hot: you're fearless about falling in love
(Oh, I was so *not* fearless about falling in love)

Hot Fat Girls

The Hot Fat Girl Manifesto

Because being a hot fat girl is a lot of work and is undervalued or unrecognized. Because a fat girl still has to pay more money for uglier clothes or spend 11 hours at the thrift store to find anything hot to wear. Because if you take the elevator, people think you're lazy but if you're on the treadmill, people laugh.

Because men like John Goodman and Bernie Mac get to have careers on television but sitcom-moms-of-three still have size-two waists. Because even feminist magazines publish fat-phobic articles under the guise of it being a "health issue." Because anti-capitalist activists still use expressions like "fat capitalist pig."

Because girls are dieting at the age of nine. Because side effects of the most popular diet drugs are seizures, heart failure, fecal urgency, breast cancer, lung disease, insomnia, nausea and vomiting, dangerously high blood pressure, abnormal heartbeat, psychosis, strokes, hallucinations and sudden death.

Because the Cooper Institute's ongoing study of 30,000 people has found that those who are fittest live the longest, no matter what they weigh. Because the doctor who said that there were 30,000 "obesity-related" deaths each year received over $2 million in research funding from Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers. Because that study prompted the FDA to approve Phen-Phen and Redux. Because fat-hatred is a money-making industry. Because fat people who exercise live longer than thin people who don't.

Because if you lose weight 'cause you're sick, people telling you how great you look. Because hatred is so ingrained in every single one of us, especially inside the heart of even the hottest fat girl. Because even the most progressive people don't talk or write about it.

Because I am tired of being ignored, invisible, de-sexualized and told that I have such a pretty face.

Because it's not fat that kills, it's fear of fat. For all that and more I am a part of the HOT FAT GIRL REVOLUTION!

Woohoo, I'm a woman!

You Are A Woman!

Congratulations, you've made it to adulthood.
You're emotionally mature, responsible, and unlikely to act out.
You accept that life is hard - and do your best to keep things upbeat.
This makes you the perfect girlfriend... or even wife!
Are You A Girl Or a Woman?

I actually expected to get the "you are a girl result". But hey, I'm not complaining. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to not be so "grown up", to have less responsiblities. What would it be like to go on a date with my husband and not have to find someone to watch my kids? What would it be like to blow a bunch of cash on a hot pair of shoes rather than pay all the bills that come along with being a homeowner? I can't even imagine.

I will 'fess up and admit that I'm feeling in a slump. Nothing seems comfortable right now. I'm not happy with my appearance, my energy level or my social calendar (or lack thereof). I wish I had the opportunity to go out, to get gussied up and have a nice time without anything to worry about. But then reality kicks in and I realize that's not gonna happen.

I guess we all get the blues or feel blah from time to time and it's just my time right now to go through it.

Spirituality

You fit in with:
Spiritualism

Your ideals are mostly spiritual, but in an individualistic way. While spirituality is very important in your life, organized religion itself may not be for you. It is best for you to seek these things on your own terms.

80% spiritual.
80% reason-oriented.

Thought for the day

"We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot."

Happy Groundhog day!

So apparently we are going to see 6 more weeks of winter. Bleh. It's hard to think of 6 more weeks of winter with all the stores already putting out summer things. But at the same time, my fat butt isn't exactly ready to prance around in shorts and tank tops...so it could be a blessing.

But back to Phil...Can you believe there is actually a groundhog club ? That little bugger sure gets a lot of attention for someone who only has to work one day a year.
