To my friends

I have the best friends in the world. Seriously.

This has been the most difficult week of my life and my friends have not only come through for me, but you have fed my soul. It would have been so easy for any of you to feel like you couldn't handle the stress or be afraid of how to react to me. But no one did that. I have received cards, comments, emails and even on a few occasions cheer-up gifts.

It's been more than I expected. You have known exactly what to say and when to say it. You have helped me to be strong and to have hope. You have made this easier not only on me, but on my family. I can't begin to repay you for your love and kindness. I just hope that you know how very much I appreciate it.

I feel like George Bailey in a "It's A Wonderful Life" when he all his friends and neighbors rally round him to get him out of trouble. Just like George Bailey, I would be lost without my friends. You have saved me.
